Tenders for Equipment Modernization

KUMZ invites tender for modernization of 300 MN press   20 Aug 2009

OAO Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Works (KUMZ) is a leading Russian company in aluminium downstream industrial sector that is engaged in modernization of main production units.

As for press forging production line, the modernization of 300 MN vertical hydraulic press and installation of immersion USI unit etc. are targeted. This activity is determined by growing expertise of the plant focused on technology intensive sector demands and aircraft building, above all.

At the moment OAO Kamensk-Uralsky Metallurgical Works invites advertised tenders for conclusion of Contract for “Modernization of 300 MN vertical hydraulic forging press”.

By press modernization the following is meant:

1.     Examination of the technical condition of the press and preparation of discrepancy list;

2.     Agreement of the scope of repair and press modernization work with a customer on the basis of Technical Enquiry;

3.     Supply of the required equipment;

4.     Repair of parts, assemblies and machinery of the press;

5.     Dismantlement of unnecessary equipment;

6.     Modernization and replacement of the existent pump-accumulator stations, hydraulic and electric equipment, control systems, installation of software products etc.

7.     Performance of building, installation and commissioning works related to press modernization;

8.     Arrangement of the press operating area in accordance with labor safety, occupational safety and ecology regulations;

9.      Development of and provision with operating instructions, service manuals;

10.  Training of technical and service personnel to operate and maintain the press.

Companies having experience in engineering, modernization and production of new hydraulic vertical forging presses with force more than 50 MN are invited to participate in the tender.

Companies that would like to participate in the tender have to submit written notification of their decision to do it. The written notification shall contain the following: full name of a company, contact person for consultation on preparation of application for bidding, address, phone number, fax and e-mail of a company.

Applications for bidding shall be submitted in hard-copies approved by a signature and stamp of a manager.

Closing date for applications is October 10, 2009.

Closing date for technical and commercial proposals is November 30, 2009.
